Some circular needles, like Inox, are really slick, the yarn
doesn't drag on them making it easier to knit faster, these are the kind that I
and many avid knitters use. They are the only way to go when your are knitting in the round. Hats, body of
sweaters, mittens and socks are impossible to knit without circulars, unless you
use double pointed needles.
Here is my
needle length guide
-
16" circular is what I use for hats, sleeves, baby clothes
and such
-
24" is the right size for sweater bodies in the round, bags
and other things like that. Or if not knitting in the round these are a
basic length for most things. The cable connecting the needles are not too
long as to be cumbersome but just long enough to be comfortable.
-
29-36" Sometimes this length is nice for wider projects.
-
47" This is the only comfortable size for large afghans.
I will try to mention which needle size to use in the patterns.
If you need info please email me and I will get the right size needle to you for
your project.

you will remember the original Balene™ products.
