Bulky weight- are very thick yarns, in fact these yarns are twice as thick as worsted weight yarns. This group is harder to categorize as the thickness of these yarns vary. I was surprised to learn that mohair is considered to be a chunky. Use a US size 10-15 to get a gauge of approximately 2-3 stitches to the inch. This yarn is excellent for heavy sweaters, blankets, and other warm and fast garments.
